In the list of these activities there is one that cannot be missing: Padel. This fun and fast sport requires a separate field. What is padel?
The sport padel is very popular among the Spaniards, but also increasingly in other European countries. For those who have never heard of padel, here’s a little crash course!
Padel is a mix between tennis and squash and is played on a rectangular field. You play it with four players, two against two. The field is a lot smaller than a tennis court and during the game the walls that surround the field are used to play. Those walls often are a combination of glass/wall and fencing.
In this sport, strength is less important, making it more accessible for all ages. This makes this tactical game a perfect combination to get moving with family or friends and then enjoy a Spanish tapa or a nice cold drink afterwards!
Where can I play padel in Valencia?
There are plenty of padel courts in the Valencia region, both indoor and outdoor. These can often be found at “Polideportivos municipales”, or sports centres of the municipality, but there are also real padel clubs where you can even sign up for lessons or participate in a competition. Below you will find a list of padel courts that are located near Valencia.
Tu padel – In addition to the fact that this club has several padel courts, tournaments are organized every now and then for which you can register. 7 Padel – At 7 Padel there are 11 covered courts, which is useful when the weather is not great and it’s not possible to play outside. There is also a bar where you can order a delicious cold drink after an intense workout session.

SUMA Fitness Club Patacona – This sports complex has a wide variety of activities, from fitness equipment, dancing lessons to swimming pool and padel courts. It is less than 100 meters from Patacona beach in the Alboraya district. This means that after a good workout you can immediately take a dive in the sea! Complejo Deportivo Orriols – This sports complex is located next to the football stadium of the Valencian football club Levante UD, making it easily accessible by public transport. In addition to padel courts, various facilities are available. There are swimming pools, tennis courts, a gym and there are also Zumba or cardio classes that are easy to follow. Here it is possible to choose between different subscriptions.

Polideportivo Asturias – This complex is located closer to the centre of Valencia, just next to the Turia park. Here you will find both outdoor padel and tennis courts available every day of the week. This location is ideal if you want to take a nice walk through the Turia park as a cooling down after a padel match.

Padel clubs outside Valencia city
PadelPaiporta – This padel club is located just outside the city, in Paiporta, and has 5 covered padel fields. Here you can play 365 days a year, even if it is storming (which doesn’t happen very often here 😉). Tournaments are also occasionally organized here in which you can participate. Of course, it is also possible to have a drink here after doing sports.

Dream Padel Quart – In the village of Quart de Poblet, less than fifteen minutes by car from the centre of Valencia, we can find this padel club that has both indoor and outdoor courts. There are 3 metro stops in the area, so no problem in terms of accessibility.

Padel A3 – Padel A3 is located near the large shopping centre Bonaire, which has 6 covered and well-maintained padel courts. There is also a changing room, cafeteria, and a small shop where you can buy sports equipment. Tournaments are also organized here and there is a competition team if interested. 😉

Padel elite – This padel club is in an industrial area near Paterna, which ensures that there is no noise pollution, so you can hit as hard as you want! At Padel Elite there are 6 covered padel courts that are well maintained. It is easy to book a field via the website and you can also register for open padel games with strangers. As well as Padel A3, here is also a competition team for men and women.

Flow padel – This club can be found a few blocks away from Padel Elite. Always handy if you must switch quickly if there is no room left at one of the two clubs! These courts are also covered and in good conditions. Events and tournaments are regularly scheduled here. Or you can book a private lesson if you want to refine the techniques a bit more 😊.
