Valencia metro Ruzafa
You can leave the bicycle, the metro goes much faster
We already knew that public transport in Valencia is good, but it seems to be getting even better. With the new metro line 10 you can easily go from Ruzafa, via The City of Arts and Sciences to Nazaret. That is fast and means: more time left to discover the city.
Bus, train, metro, tram. All forms of public transport can be found in Valencia city. To get from one side of the city to the other in a very short time, it is best to take the metro. Logical, because it goes underground and therefore does not suffer from the city bustle.
Although the metro lines are well distributed throughout the city, there were still parts where the nearest metro stop was a 15-minute walk away. Not really efficient, if you want to travel with the fastest public transport in Valencia. With the arrival of Metrovalencia line 10, a wish of many residents and Valencia lovers has been fulfilled.

When will Valencia's new metro start running?

The metro will start running on Tuesday 17 May 2022. At the moment, the route is being tested by the municipality. Are you in Valencia now? Then maybe you have already seen it running! They do look a little different than the current underground trains, because they have been given a new look: bright red with a big m on it. Not to be missed!

Construction of Metrovalencia Line 10 began in 2007, but was interrupted in 2011 due to budget cuts. Work resumed in 2019, seven years after the interruption. At the time, the line was still listed as L2.

The metro line is 5.3 kilometres long and has three underground and five above-ground stations.

The new Ruzafa metro stop is near our headquarters at Calle Denia 49. Will you be stopping by?
